The apprenticeship framework involves completion of the following:
• Technical Certificate in the chosen trade (Construction Diploma Level 2 Certificate)
• National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in the chosen trade
• CSCS health & safety test and card
• Employer Rights & Responsibilities (ERR)
• Key Skills or Functional Skills in English or Maths
• Abrasive Wheels (Brickwork only)
The duration of the apprenticeship depends on the ability of the candidate and their ability to demonstrate work-based evidence to meet the NVQ criteria (if they cover all the elements of the qualification at work, they will complete much more quickly than if they work only occasionally in those areas). Generally, we would expect apprentices to complete within between 6 months and 2 years.
